When was the last time you said, “I wish I could brush my teeth?”
Unless you have no teeth, I venture to guess that the answer is “never.”
Because, when want to brush your teeth, you brush them. Wishing is not part of the equation.
Yet, for some reason wishing shows up way too often.
As in…I wish I were fit; I wish I could lose weight; I wish I could write a book; I wish I could have a new career; I wish I could launch an online program; I wish I could run a marathon; I wish I could make more money… .
I wish… .
But… wishing won’t make it so.
If you’ve made it this far into today’s message, I know something about you: You are someone who makes things happen. It’s part of your DNA.
If you look back over the course of your life, I’d bet that anything that you really, really wanted to do, you did… you figured out a way to make it happen.
Your “want to” trumped the “how to.”
And… wishing wasn’t ever part of the equation.
Connect again with what it is you really, really want…and then take deliberate action.
Slow, steady, consistent steps will take you there.
Don’t forget to brush your teeth along the way.
